Invitation to HCC Post-AGM End-of-Year Dinner, Tuesday 3 December 2024

Haymarket Chamber of Commerce would like to extend a special invitation to all to our 2024 post-AGM End-of-Year Dinner at The Eight Restaurant in Haymarket on Tuesday, 3 December 2024.

The Eight Restaurant is renowned for its authentic Cantonese cuisine. This special evening will commence with the Chamber’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) at 6.00 pm (for Chamber members only) to be followed by a Chinese banquet (open to everyone) at 7.00 pm.

All are welcome and we look forward to seeing you there for some end-of-year networking and party fun. Many of our Chamber members have already confirmed their attendance.

Our guest speaker for the evening will be Ms Devika Shivadekar, RSM Australia’s in-house economist. RSM Australia is a member of our Chamber.

Ms Shivadekar will be speaking on the Economic Outlook for Australia in 2025, covering inflation, interest rates and growth forecasts and also the impact a Trump administration in the United States will potentially have on trade, investments and the global markets. This will be followed by a Q&A session.

About Our Guest Speaker – Devika Shivadekar

Devika Shivadekar is RSM Australia’s national economist based in its Sydney office.

Devika has a wealth of experience in macro-economic and financial research, spanning both public and private sectors, and a deep understanding of the Asia-Pacific region. She follows key macroeconomic indicators such as growth, inflation, central bank decisions and the labour market to assess the overall health of an economy. Prior professional experiences include stints at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Bank of America.

Devika holds a MSc Finance (UK) and BA Economics (India).
