For two decades our economy has thrived dependant on global markets though this no longer applies as our economy and society reform and consolidate during these unprecedented times.  From Sydney’s CBD to outer suburbs and regional NSW, the focus to ‘think local and act local’ will be essential to rebuild the economy through local tourism, place making, education and the local production of goods and services.

As we slowly pivot towards a new society, multi-level Government leadership and support will be integral towards providing the frameworks, resources and vision towards this creation of a new local economy.

A positive and recent example of the emerging local market is the Chinese Garden of Friendship’s careful re-opening that has attracted a steep rise of NSW visitors who have both reinvigorated and enjoyed this important cultural destination that reflects the harmony Sydney has had for more than 30 years with Guangzhou and China.
