Chinese Mythology & Creativity — The Tales My Mother Told Me is a collaborative exhibition by two brothers: writer, curator, and creative director Vinh Van Lam and contemporary artist Anthony Van Lam.
Inspired by mythology stories shared during childhood by their mother, the exhibition revisits classical Chinese legends as reflections on imagination, resilience, compassion, and the creative spirit. These stories were more than childhood tales for Vinh and Anthony— they were cultural memories carrying wisdom about life, balance, and the act of creation.
The exhibition was officially opened by Simon Chan AM, Chair of the Multicultural NSW Advisory Board, on 8 July 2026.
