The Haymarket Chamber of Commerce wishes all a Happy Mid-Autumn Festival 中秋节快乐 !
The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, is the second most important celebration for the Chinese community after Lunar New Year and is also celebrated by many other Asian communities. Come celebrate with all of us at Sydney’s Chinatown in Haymarket this Saturday 30 September 2023 from 11 am – 10 pm, where good food, entertainment, lanterns and mooncakes will be in abundance.
Streets will be closed for roving and stage performances and lion dances arranged by the City of Sydney, and remember to also visit the lanterns pavilion on the corner of Hay and Thomas Streets. There will be plenty of activities for kids including a circus playground on Sussex Street.
