Chinatown Tours to celebrate August Moon
Registrations of interest are Now being taken for the Annual August Moon Chinatown Historical Tours.
Planned for Saturday and Sunday (September 11-12), the walking tours will be led by popular guide and well known Chinatown identity, George Wing Kee. The tours will focus on the colourful history of the Chinatown area over the past century and tour participants have the option of joining tour colleagues for a traditional yum cha lunch at the end of the tour.
Cost of the tour is a gold coin donation and Phone Bookings should be made by phoning 0403 302 578. Each tour commences at 11.30am and will take approximately one and a half hours. Tour participants meet at the corner of Quay and Thomas Streets (UTS Bell Tower).
After the walk, participants have the option of joining their tour colleagues for a Yum Cha lunch at $20 per head at one of Chinatown’s most popular restaurants.
