On 23 March 2025, the Australian Chinese Ex-Services Association (ACEA), under the leadership of Lt. Col. Victor Tsang, hosted a ceremony to commemorate the 22nd anniversary of the unveiling of the Australian Chinese Ex-Services Monument at 1 Dixon Street in Sydney’s Chinatown.
A remembrance service was held to honour the commitment and contribution of Chinese Australians who have served in the Australian defence forces.
Special guest at the ceremony was Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales. The memorial address was delivered by Tom Galuzzo, Vice-President of ACEA.
Haymarket Chamber of Commerce was represented at the service and the wreath laying ceremony by our Chamber’s founder, George Wing Kee (who was himself a member of the Australian Intelligence Corps from 1955 to 1960) and our Chamber President, Vincent Lim.
