All of us at the Haymarket Chamber of Commerce wish to express our heartfelt condolences and support to the families of the 15 people who were killed in the Bondi Beach terror attack against the Jewish Australian community on Sunday 14 December 2025 during the Chanukah by the Sea celebration and the many who suffered injuries from the attack. We wish all those who were injured a speedy recovery.
Many of us have since signed a pledge to send a clear and heartfelt message to our Jewish Australian friends: you are not alone. An attack on your community is an attack on all of us, and we stand with you in solidarity and support.
We must always stand up to racism, prejudice, and hatred. These forces have no place in Australia, nor anywhere else in our world.
Together, let us continue to affirm our shared and unwavering commitment to peace, unity, and harmony within our multicultural society in New South Wales — a society where each of us deserves to feel safe, respected, and free to practise our religious and cultural traditions.
