Travel Choices Newsflash
This newsflash will be the first of a series from Travel Choices, the dedicated team set up by Transport for NSW to work with businesses throughout this period of construction in Sydney CBD.
Our first mail out focuses on the bus changes, due to start this Sunday.
The bus network is changing on 4 October: You will need to plan ahead and communicate these changes to your staff
From 4th October 2015, a redesigned bus network will operate in the Sydney CBD. It is a key part of the integrated plan to meet the transport needs of Sydney’s growing population.
Most CBD bus routes will be affected, which means route, timetable, route number and CBD bus stops may change. This will also mean roads will be busier.
All buses that currently use George Street will be re-routed. Buses in the CBD will operate predominantly along new priority routes on Elizabeth Street, Castlereagh Street, Park Street, Druitt Street, Clarence Street and York Street.
Some buses will terminate outside or at the edge of the CBD, adjacent to other public transport options. Passengers on these services will need to complete their journey by rail, ferry, an alternative bus or walking.
