SYDNEY’S most lucrative parking meters Haymarket No. 1
Inner-city Haymarket has the most profitable parking meters in the City of Sydney, each gathering $42,157 on average last financial year.
In comparison, second-year UTS sports and exercise management student Lachlan Vile, 19, said his first job after graduation is likely to earn him about the same amount.
“That piece of metal might be earning as much as me,” Mr Vile, from Dural, said.
Haymarket’s 102 parking meters made a total of $4.3 million, charging the city’s highest rate of $7 an hour during weekday business hours.
