The Chamber’s 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held at the Eight Restaurant, Market City, Haymarket, on 3 December 2024.
At the AGM, members unanimously voted in all 10 nominated executive committee members and the new Executive Committee then re-elected the following office bearers for another one-year term until the next AGM in December 2025:
President- Vincent Lim
Vice President – Ruby Cheung
Secretary – San Koh
Treasurer – Jonathan Wong
Public Officer – Richard Hughes
Committee Members – Simon Chan AM (former President), Brad Chan (former President), Jessie Xiao (former Vice President), Serena Tran and Yvonne Young.
Mr George Wing Kee will continue in his special role as the committee’s Honorary Adviser.
Congratulations to all who were elected to the new Executive Committee. We also thank all members for your continuing support and the trust that you have placed in our Executive Committee to date.
After the AGM, members and guests enjoyed an excellent 10-course Cantonese banquet with great wines compliments of our own Chamber member, Millon Wines.
Sincere thanks to our special VIP guest, Lord Mayor Clover Moore AO who attended with her Chief of Staff Mr Adam Cox, and also to our guest speaker, economist Ms Devika Shivadekar of RSM Australia, with her expert insights and analysis on where our economy is at present and what may happen in 2025 with a new administration in the United States.
We also thank all our raffle prizes donors, namely Community Bank Darling Square, Furama Hotel Darling Harbour, Millon Wines, Local Sauce Tours, Forcast, Deyi Life House, ILEKTRI Fine Jewellery, Athena Partners, EQness, Valent Lau Executive Images, Unikorn Commercial Property, KL International Lawyers, TS Food Solutions, Surfside Hotels Group, without whom we would not have been able to have such a fun raffle draw. We also raised some funds for the Chamber through the raffle sale, which we will put to good use including charitable purposes.
