On 20 March 2024, at the invitation of the NSW Minister for Multiculturalism, the Hon. Stephen Kamper MP, various representatives of the Chinese Australian community met with the Minister and his departmental staff for afternoon tea and an informal discussion on issues affecting our local community.
The Chamber was represented by our President, Vincent Lim, and our executive committee members Simon Chan AM (a member of the Multicultural NSW Advisory Board and also attending as President of the Chinese Australian Forum) and Jessie Xiao (also attending as President of the Way In Network), and our Chamber founder Peter Wong who was also representing Soul of Chinatown. We are pleased to note that our Chamber’s former Executive Officer, Karen Soo, was also present at this meeting.
