Haymarket Chamber of Commerce would like to invite you to join us for a forum on Wills & Succession Planning featuring experts in the areas of wills and estates, personal taxation and superannuation on Thursday, 27 August 2026, at the Museum of Chinese in Australia (MOCA) in Haymarket.

Our expert panel will consist of:

Clare Hesbrook

Clare Hesbrook is a Partner in the Private Clients team at Hall & Wilcox.

She is a highly experienced estate planning lawyer. Her specialisations include Wills (including bespoke Wills for High Net Wealth clients and clients with international connections and assets), testamentary trusts, probate and estate administration, trust administration, asset protection, succession of business interests and family trusts, superannuation, international estate planning, UK Inheritance Tax, UK succession and domicile issues, Powers of Enduring Guardian and Enduring Powers of Attorney. She has a particular interest in international estates and complex wealth structures.

Clare acts for a range of clients and prides herself on providing bespoke solutions to ensure a smooth succession of assets at the relevant time. Estate planning and estate administration can be emotionally difficult topics, and Clare has a sensitive and personable approach to proactively guide and advise her clients.

Lisa To

Lisa To leads the Private Clients & Tax group at Bartier Perry, bringing together the firm’s taxation, estate planning, business succession, superannuation, contested and uncontested estate administration, probate and estate litigation, and family law teams.

Lisa is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), a full Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), and an Accredited Self-Managed Superannuation Fund Specialist (SMSF) Adviser. She has more than 20 years’ experience advising on Australian federal and state taxation, trust law, cross-border estate planning and taxation disputes.

Lisa advises professional advisers, high-net-worth individuals, families, family offices and private groups on wealth structuring, asset protection, succession planning and intergenerational wealth transfer. She regularly assists clients to navigate complex cross-border tax and estate planning issues involving Australian and international assets.

In 2026, STEP awarded Lisa the STEP Excellence Award for achieving the highest mark globally in the Advanced Certificate in Cross-Border Estates. She regularly presents and publishes on taxation, estate planning and succession matters and is recognised as a leading adviser in these fields.

Grace Bacon

Grace Bacon is a Partner at RSM Australia, managing their Financial Services practice in Sydney.

Grace’s professional experience spans across the banking and financial services sector.  She started as a graduate at Westpac Bank and became the first para-planner when the financial planning sector was started in Australia. She has previously worked at Macquarie Private Wealth, CBA Private and ANZ Private.

Grace has expertise in helping her clients navigate through the complexities of finance to achieve financial security and well-being. She specialises in strategic financial planning, wealth accumulation strategies, superannuation and retirement planning, risk management, and inter-generational wealth transfers. 

Grace is especially passionate about helping women understand their relationship with money and helps them make informed decisions to achieve financial independence and security. Grace is also a regular contributor to major media publications on financial advice topics.

Grace is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and she holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Global Executive MBA from the University of Sydney.

 

Vincent Lim

HCC President

Principal, VTS Lawyers

Vincent Lim is president of the Haymarket Chamber of Commerce and the principal of VTS Lawyers.

Vincent is a lawyer with more than 30 years’ experience with considerable expertise in corporate and commercial litigation & dispute resolution. He studied economics and law at the University of Sydney. He also holds a Master of Laws and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investments.

Vincent was a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA) from 2005-2025, and since January 2026, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investments (CISI) following the merger of FINSIA and CISI. He had also led a team in the setting up and management of a significant investor visa (SIV) managed fund from 2013 – 2022.

Vincent has been the President of our Chamber since 2021, and he will be the moderator of our panel discussion.
