This year the Chamber’s Autumn Networking Event was held at the Market City Tavern on Wednesday, 6 April 2022. Members and guests had a most enjoyable evening of networking and getting to know one another with exclusive access to MCT’s level 2 bar and the most delicious Malaysian food from Ho Jiak Haymarket. We were also pleased to have Councillor Shauna Jarrett of the City of Sydney at our event and thank her for her speech and continued support.
The Chamber is also pleased to announce that, from the proceeds of our ticket sales, we have donated $420 ($10 for every ticket sold) to the Australian Red Cross in support of the financial help and assistance that the Red Cross is providing to individuals and families affected by the Queensland and NSW floods.
We thank all members and guests for attending and in particular to the Community Bank Darling Square represented by its Chairman, Raymond Tai, for their generous contribution of prizes for our business card lucky draw won by Michael Thompson and Desmond Teng, Museum of Chinese in Australia (MOCA), Soul of Chinatown and Haymarket HQ for their on-going support.
We must also express our gratitude and thank Ivan See, the Operations Manager of the Surfside Hotels Group of which Market City Tavern is a part, and Sherlen Chewandy of Ho Jiak Haymarket for their tremendous help and support in making this event possible.
